Simon Payette appointed to equipment manager

LAVAL (July 6, 2022) – The Laval Rocket announced on Wednesday the appointment of Simon Payette as equipment manager.

Payette has been serving as assistant equipment manager with the Laval Rocket since 2020.

From 2014 to 2016, he served as equipment manager with the Val d’Or Foreurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He also served as equipment manager with two Ontario Hockey League teams, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (2016-2019) and the Flint Firebirds (2019-2020).

Payette served as equipment manager for Team Canada at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2017 and 2018.

Payette will take over the duties previously held by Éric Lévesque who has been the equipment manager of the Laval Rocket since the first season in 2017-2018. Lévesque first joined the Hamilton Bulldogs at the beginning of the 2013-2014 season. He also served as equipment manager with the St. John’s IceCaps. Lévesque will leave the organization to take on new challenges. Good luck with your futures projects Éric.
