Rocket agree to terms on a one-year, two-way AHL contract with defenseman Christopher Merisier-Ortiz

The Laval Rocket announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way AHL contract (2023-24) with defenseman Christopher Merisier-Ortiz.

Merisier-Ortiz, 22 (5’11’’ and 172 lbs) recorded four goals and 28 assists in 44 games with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) last season.

A native of Boisbriand, Merisier-Ortiz played 23 AHL games in his career with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, including 15 last season.
