Rocket agree to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract with defenseman Tobie Paquette-Bisson, forwards Jared Davidson and Jakov Novak and goaltender Strauss Mann

The Laval Rocket announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract (2023-24) with defenseman Tobie Paquette-Bisson, forwards Jared Davidson and Jakov Novak and goaltender Strauss Mann.

Paquette-Bisson, 26 (6’03’’ and 194 lbs) recorded four goals and 12 assists in 61 games last season with the Ontario Reign (AHL).

A native of Rosemère, Paquette-Bisson played for the Laval Rocket during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons.

Davidson, 20 (6’00’’ and 183 lbs) recorded 38 goals and 44 assists in 60 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL.

A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Davidson was selected in the fifth round (130th overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens.

Novak, 24 (6’03’’ and 203 lbs) recorded eight goals and four assists in 35 games with Northeastern University (NCAA) and seven goals and five assists in 14 games with the Allen Americans in the ECHL.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Novak was selected in the seventh round (188th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators.

Mann, 24 (6’00’’ and 174 lbs) had a .894 save percentage and 3.32 goals-against average with the San Jose Barracuda last season, as well as a .932 save percentage and 2.51 goals-against average with the Wichita Thunder in the ECHL.

A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Mann played 20 career AHL games (San Jose Barracuda).
