Canadiens announce training camp cuts

Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Tuesday that the team has cut five forwards, one defenseman and one goaltender from training camp.

The players will report to Laval Rocket training camp, which started on Sunday, October 2.

Under NHL contract, they will be loaned to the Laval Rocket:

Filip Mesar and Mattias Norlinder

Placed on waivers by the Canadiens:

Alex Belzile, Anthony Richard and Mitchell Stephens

Released from the Canadiens training camp, they will join Laval Rocket training camp:

Kevin Poulin and Xavier Simoneau
