Rocket agree to terms on one-year, two-way AHL contracts with Philippe Desrosiers and Joe Vrbetic

LAVAL (July 17, 2022) – The Laval Rocket announced on Sunday that the team has agreed to terms on one-year, two-way AHL contracts (2022-23) with goaltenders Philippe Desrosiers and Joe Vrbetic.

Desrosiers, 26 (6’01’’ and 201 lbs) spent the last season between the Manitoba Moose (AHL) and the Trois-Rivieres Lions (ECHL). Desrosiers has a record of 19 wins, 13 losses and one overtime loss in 34 games with the Trois-Rivieres Lions in the regular season.

The St-Hyacinthe-native also has a record of 2 wins and one loss with the Manitoba Moose last season.

Vrbetic, 19 (6’06’’ and 188 lbs) spent the last season with the North Bay Battalion in the Ontario Hockey League. Vrbetic has a record of 29 wins, 10 losses and six overtime losses in 45 regular season games.

A native of Hamilton, Vrbetic was selected in the seventh round, 214th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
