Rocket agree to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract with Xavier Simoneau

LAVAL (July 4, 2022) –The Laval Rocket announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract (2022-23) with Quebec-born forward Xavier Simoneau.
Simoneau, 21 (5’07” and 178 lb) spent last season with the Charlottetown Islanders, where he recorded 24 goals and 62 assists in 48 games. Simoneau also began his junior career with the Drummondville Voltigeurs where he recorded 56 goals and 127 assists in 143 games.
A native of Gatineau, Simoneau was selected in the sixth round, 191st overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
