Logan Mailloux named to the AHL All-Rookie Team

LAVAL (April 17, 2024) – The American Hockey League announced today that Logan Mailloux has been named to the AHL All-Rookie Team for the 2023-24 season.

The defenseman scored 14 goals and got 33 assists for a total of 47 points in 70 games with the Rocket this season. In his first professional year, the 21-year-old is currently the third best scorer on the team and the best among defensemen. Mailloux is currently fourth among the best rookie scorers in the AHL. He is also the rookie defenseman with the most points.

Originally from Belle River, Ontario, Mailloux was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (31st overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft. Logan Mailloux is the only Rocket player to have played every game this season. The defenseman earned a call-up to the NHL last Monday and played his first game with the Canadiens last night (April 16). He finished the game with an assist and a differential of +1.
